SUMMER TOURS:
Conditions as of April 18th, 2018 are as follows. As the reader can see by our Trip Advisor reviews, we are having good summer conditions. The grass is growing abundantly in clear water areas so manatees are staying around. We have approximately 25 that are dispersed throughout Kings Bay. We have not had an unsuccessful summer day, just no promises that they will be in clear water, or that you will have a playful encounter as expected in the winter months

During summer months the majority of the manatees migrate, which leaves us with a handful of resident manatees spread out around the bay. We have been getting lucky and finding manatees closer to the springs than we have during past summers. The grass restoration project in the Hunter Springs basin has kept the manatees closer to the clear water, which has resulted in some great tours this summer! We always recommend the 6am manatee snorkel tour, there tends to be more manatees, less people, and a better chance of interaction at that time! Scallop season runs from July 1st to September 24th, and we offer scallop hunting snorkel tours every day during season! We don’t have as many scallops as we have had in the past, but we are still having a great time out on the water looking for these tasty treasures!
