Fishbowl (Homosassa) House:
Our cozy rental house near the head spring of the Homosassa River has all you could want. This is a 2 bedroom, 1 bath on a canal about 100 yards from a beautifully clear spring, perfect for snorkeling and swimming. The spring is the headwater of the Homosassa River, located right outside the Homosassa Springs Wildlife State Park, and is the location of some wintertime manatee snorkeling tours, so you will sometimes even have manatee right in your backyard. The house has 2 two person kayaks to get you there quickly and help you explore the rest of the river.
There's nothing you need to bring. Linens and cooking utensils are there waiting for you. There is a gas grill for BBQ and a small outdoor chiminea for an evening marshmallow roast. Cable TV, DVD player, and microwave are there for your enjoyment.
This house has two docks where you could keep a small boat and is very near almost any amenity you could ask for. Great restaurants, world class golf courses, horseback riding, manatee snorkeling tours, scalloping, freshwater and saltwater fishing, boat rentals, it's all there!
Rental is $150 plus tax per night for the first 2 adults and 2 children, and $10 per person after that. We have a 5 person maximum in this house. In winter we request a 2 night minimum stay. You can contact us with questions or call 1.800.771.2763 to book your stay.
