We want to share the exciting news that Bird’s Underwater owners, Bill and Diane Oestreich have just returned from the Philippines with a wonderful 11 year old boy that they have adopted from Kings Garden Children’s Home in Orion, Bataan, Philippines.  Bill and Diane are adoption advocates and are very open to answering any questions our friends have about how to begin this process.  This is child # 4, and there is no end to the kids who need homes.

Kings Garden is a wonderful orphanage, being as it is a structured Christian home where the kids are very well raised. They go to school and work hard, our American kids could learn a lot from them. They live in very simple, humble conditions without air conditioning or hot water. 

We would like to return in 2014 to visit the orphanage and fly down to Palawan and Cebu for a week of diving that will be open to our friends to join. Anyone who has been there and wants to give us some input on the best dive locations, please post your comments.
